The UIL (University Interscholastic League) is an opportunity for students to take what they have learned from the classroom and apply it in a competitive but friendly academic environment. The goals of the UIL are as follows:
- bring excitement to learning
- work with other students in a competitive atmosphere
- achieve mastery of essential knowledge and skill
- test students' skills and knowledge
- experience the satisfaction of a successful and rewarding performance
- achieve academic excellence and recognition
What are the contests that students can participate in?
Students have opportunities to participate in the following events:
- Art (4th - 6th grade)
- Calculator (6th grade)
- Chess (2nd - 6th grade)
- Creative Writing (2nd grade)
- Dictionary Skills (5th - 6th grade)
- Editorial Writing (6th grade)
- Listening Skills (5th - 6th grade)

- Music Memory (2nd - 6th grade)

Each grade level will be sending home UIL information and sign sheets in the Fall. The meets will be held at La Grange ISD starting at 4:30pm. The dates and events are listed below:
