We hope your children are enjoying the start to this school year. We want you to know that we have identified transportation processes and systems that need improvement. We have implemented some internal changes and are also being inundated with daily route change requests from parents. We are a small department and are unable to keep up with daily demand of changes and are now needing to implement a new policy to keep your child(ren) safe.
Changes to your student(s) pickup/dropoff locations will be honored starting the Monday following the request. This will allow us enough time to process the request, make necessary route changes, notify other students on any time changes to the routes, and give the bus operators enough time to get familiar with the route changes.
Emergency requests will still be honored on a case-by-case basis after approval by the campus principal.
We hope you understand your student(s) safety is our priority and this policy change will assist us in maintaining that standard.
Looking ahead to Spring 2021 we look forward to implementing a more complete student management, routing, and parent notification software and phone app that will benefit our parents and staff tremendously!
