August 6 - New Student Registration Students in grades PK-8 that are new to La Grange ISD will have the opportunity to register for school at the Hermes Cafeteria located at 339 Jackson St. between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm on Aug. 6. Please bring the following information for your child: original birth certificate, original social security card, most recent academic record (report card, withdrawal form), and proof of residency within LGISD. This could include a utility bill or contract for purchase or lease of a residence. The individual enrolling the child will need a photo identification (driver's license or state ID card). August 18 - PTO Open House La Grange Intermediate, along with the LG PTO, will be hosting an Open House on August 18 from 4-6 pm. Students will have the opportunity to receive their schedules, tour the school, and meet their teachers during this time. Parents will have the opportunity to visit with cafeteria and bus personnel and to meet the school nurse. Please plan to attend this exciting event!
August 23 - Welcome Back to School!
IMPORTANT: 6th grade Parent Information- Students entering the 7th grade in 2010-2011 must receive the following immunizations prior to beginning school: Tdap, Varicella (2nd dose), & MCV4. Students will be denied enrollment without proof of receiving these immunizations. More information will be sent home with the student's progress reports. Box Tops for Education Program-LIS is collecting Box Tops from General Mills products to help support activities and incentives on our campus. Students may bring the Box Tops to the Intermediate office and place them in the Box Top container. We appreciate your support!

Delivering Messages-If your child needs a message delivered during the school day, please contact our office by 1:00 pm. All messages will be delivered at 1:30.
New Cell Phone Policy-All 4th, 5th, & 6th grade students will be permitted to have cell phones; however, cell phones must remain turned off in school buildings during school hours. If a cell phone rings or beeps during the school day, the cell phone will be confiscated, discipline assigned and a fee assessed. Once the cell phone is confiscated, it may only be returned to the student's parent/guardian.
