Contests opens January 31 and ends April 1.
Not only do students have a chance to win cash (up to $1,500 for the grand prize winner) but the school sponsoring the first-place winner in the 2012 Co-op Teens Power Texas video contest will receive $1,000 – just for creating a 30- to 60-second commercial about their electric cooperative. The topic can be on the history of Fayette Electric Cooperative (FEC), FEC’s community involvement, the seven cooperative principles, energy efficiency or any other message students can dream up!
Students in grades 6 -12 whose parents or legal guardians are current members of an electric cooperative in Texas can participate.
The deadline for application submission is May 1st and may be postmarked on that day.
